At Lidl we are keen to promote good eye care and we offer regular, fully paid, eye tests to those employees who daily use a computer monitor as part of their job. 

We know that our employees’ health is of utmost importance therefore, we offer a Health Insurance Scheme for all Lidl Malta employees who are actively employed with the Company and have successfully completed their probation period!

Warehouse employees who are deployed to work in the freezer will be given an allowance for the time physically spent working inside the freezer room.

Employees who are welcoming a new member into their family will receive a parents' gift pack full of Lidl essentials as well as a voucher! This means that not only can our employees make the most of our award-winning baby range, but they also have a few less thing to pick up for their new child.

In order to provide the best service to our customers, our busier stores operate 24 hours a day. In recognition of this, we pay an additional allowance which starts from €3 per hour for the hours worked between midnight and 5am.

Where possible, our aim is to provide employees with the flexibility to get a good balance between their home life and work. Employees working at Head Office will have the option to work some shifts from home to help them achieve this balance.

After 5 years of work at Lidl, someone might have the need to explore the world or themselves. This is why we offer our team members the opportunity to request up to 3 months of sabbatical leave.
