About Lidl
Lidl Malta opened the doors of its first stores in 2008 and has grown to be the leading supermarket chain on the Maltese islands. Over the years the company expanded even further and now counts a total of 10 stores, one of which is in Gozo, and opened a new Logistics Center in Burmarrad. This year, Lidl Malta has also been awarded the Top Employer certification for the 5th consecutive time which confirms that the company is committed to offering the best working environment by placing people at the center of its operations.

Lidl Malta is currently offering a one-time opportunity to whoever would like to explore our stores and learn more about what happens behind the scenes. This will be made possible thanks to organized tours. In the near future we will also be organizing tours for our new Logistics Center in Burmarrad for which you can already reserve your place.

Store Tour
Since 2008 we have been the reliable partner for a straightforward everyday shopping experience offering quality goods at convenient prices, including fresh fruits and vegetables and an in-store bakery with bread and pastries daily. Our stores are not like any other supermarket at they are divided and function in different ways.
By joining one of our Store tours, you will have the opportunity to explore the different sections of the stores, including those which cannot be accessed by customers, and get all the information related to the everyday function of the shop and other interesting facts.

Warehouse Tour
Our new Logistics Center in Burmarrad, which covers an area of 14,900 square meters, handles Lidl’s storage and distribution. It has over 1,700 picking stations, over 6,000 pallet slots and 1,300 meters of shelving. It also contains cold rooms which are among the newly added features in our warehouse. This modern and innovative structure will enable us to optimize the entire supply chain, improve customer service and experience and support the future development of our sales network with the opening of new supermarkets.
