Summary

The Warehouse Supervisor Safety & Maintenance forms part of the Logistics team and ensures that our plant, vehicles and equipment are in optimal condition.

The person reports directly to the Team Leader Safety & Maintenance who is responsible for the health and safety aspects within the warehouse in line with Corporate policies and in compliance with the local legislation.

Our warehouse is currently located in Handaq, but we are going to move to Burmarrad, in the meanwhile you will be trained in Malta and there will be the opportunity to do some training in Italy as well.

What you'll do

The main tasks for this job offer are:

  • Assist the Team Leader Safety & Maintenance in his/her/their duties, such as
    • Managing the upkeep of  all electrical, mechanical and refrigeration systems in the warehouse and goods handling equipment, including coordination of prevent maintenance and ad-hoc repairs
    • Ensuring full functionality of emergency and fire systems at all times
    • Coordinating contractors and external suppliers for ordinary and extraordinary maintenance activities
    • Being responsible for the cleanliness and upkeep of the warehouse including returns area and recycling initiatives
    • Ensuring sufficient essential replacement parts for the technical equipment
    • Establishing and maintaining an efficient team of people, safeguarding a positive work environment.

What you'll need

The Supervisor Safety & Maintenance should be in possession of the following:

  • A technical background
  • Work experience gained in building and / or mechanical Facility Management
  • Experience in management and negotiations with external suppliers
  • Good knowledge of English and Italian
  • Good knowledge of the MS Office package
  • Good organizational and problem solving skills
  • Flexibility and dynamism
